She has a strong "Blues" background, very strong

Looking at her early performances, I mean she is definitely by nature a "Blues" sort of chick and her early stage music sounds very similar to the styles they play down in New Orleans. She actually seems more comfortable with that style, maybe more at home with that intimate setting of Blues club.
