Sara's best friend must be the coolest person in the world. Seriously, I mean, she is someone that has a lot of cool friends and connection, so if she considers this beautiful lady in the picture her best friend, then I can only wonder just how cool that person is. Both of them also seem to have the same smile. In the picture, if you look at the smiles, the lip shape and teeth are almost identical. Sara's teeth are slightly larger. But I think her friend's smile is sort of sunnier because of the eyes. Maybe unfair to say because Sara isn't squinting her eyes that much. I don't think Sara is much of a squinter.


I wonder how far they go back. Most best friendships are formed in your teens and 20's. So I'm sure they knew each other around that time. I think its good that at her success level, she is not lacking in true friendships, and not lacking in desire to maintain them. Its something that she doesn't take for granted and its something that she is always gracious about. I hope she never gives that up.

It took some fortitude for Sara Bareilles to reject the easy life

So as I was reading about Sara Bareilles and watching a good amount of her interviews, and trying to put myself in her shoes, I began to think about the move she made from California to New York, stating a desire for change from her stagnation at the time. So, I am curious about the amount of resistance she encountered from family and friends. Because its easy to be influenced by the opinions of others, especially when the vote is unanimously against you. In this case it turned out be a genius move for her, which changes my whole conception of following advice of other people. How thinking for ourselves is not something to be thrown away when the overwhelming majority see it differently. I don't want to get carried away with this philosophy because too much of anything can prove detrimental. But there is a pattern in her life, from what I have already gathered. Sara Bareilles has a history of proving people wrong. At some point, majority opinion has got to weigh down on a person, but in her case man, I don't know. I can only come to one conclusion. This girl is stubborn as hell, and whats crazy is that its freakin working for her. That's whats gets me!!

Unfortunately everything new gets old. Thats the reality of it. Whats worse are the comments on her twitter and instagram posts. Those are are getting very stale. Its pretty much "Love you" "I love you" "So Adorable" For God sakes, her fans can make a better effort to give some decent feedback.

Our brains are wired differently. I am trying to find a way to get bored with Sara Bareilles. I am looking for a reason not to blog about her everyday, or read her twitter and instagram.

Usually boredom can be overcome if you find something that gives you a purpose or something that you feel is meaningful. 'That something' to look forward to everyday, that will give you fulfillment. 'That sort of crack cocaine' as she similarly stated in her old blog.

I wonder about coffee though. I drink a lot of coffee and if I dont eat some read meat to replenish those lost minerals and vitamins, I find myself unable to concentrate on anything, or I'd have to break a sweat in my brain to follow along whatever is in front of me.

I hope she hasn't lost her Friday feelings. Ya know the happiness of Friday knowing "free time" is coming up after a long week of school or work.

I wonder if the coffee Sara Bareilles drinks hurts her attention span or focus

I am just saying this from personal experience, because whenever I drink large amounts of coffee for an extended period of time, I tend to lose my short-term memory. Very noticeable in conversations with people in which I can hear what they are saying, but unable to comprehend the words they are speaking. It recovers when I eat some red meat though. Maybe the caffeine depletes the zinc and b12 from our bodies causing the decreased brain function. I wonder if she has an issue with this. I know women's bodies are different, so I can only speculate. In her case, maybe the coffee unlocks the creativity by shutting down another part of the brain?

One thing that cannot be underestimated is this woman's judgement. Something everyone may think is wrong, may end up being right for her.

The case of Sara Bareilles and the line between our emotions and the artist's freedom of expression

I think as fans, we have a duty to be emotional and let the star know when she is pushing the right buttons. However, we have no right to hold her hostage. What I mean is that we still have to come to the reality that she is a singer/songwriter, not a licensed psychologist. And with that being said, how can we expect her to try and keep us happy all the time. I think if we come to the understanding of this, it allows the artist to retain her personal freedom, which is obviously a creative necessity. Besides, one can usually gauge a person's intent not by what they say, but how they say it, and the context of the situation in which they are saying it. If her diarrhea of creativity makes us jump for joy, GREAT!! if it doesn't, GREAT!! Lets allow her to be the artist. And let us wait in anticipation of her next works, cause they are definitely going to make us feel something. Thats for sure. I'm a little late to the party, and I'm still looking back at some of her previous works like Fairytale, which took me off my damn cloud. The conundrum of who Sara Bareilles is....is driving me somewhat loony. And finding out she is the only person, to my knowledge. in the world with that name, is not making it any better. So what is up with that?? When I lookup her name online on the white pages, there are 2 Sara Bareilles listed, one in California and New York. So unless she left the other Sara Bareilles in California before moving to New York, its safe to say there is only one. There could be another in a different country, but how likely is that? What does this all mean?? Does she have a special purpose here that goes beyond music??

How come Sara Bareilles seems to have the coolest friends??

I have been keeping an eye on her friends, and one thing they all seem to have in common is a warped sense of humor. How does she get so lucky to meet these type of people. Lots of times, I feel let down by celebrities after observing the type of individuals they associate with, but from what I can see as an outside observer, she really is a good judge of people. Or is she just lucky?? I'm sure they have their bad days as a crew or whatever. And I know from experience, its hard to maintain a group friendship. You have one who always wants to be the leader, or one who's ego is too big, or one who acts too wild or gets mad all the time....stressing everyone else out. There's like a million and one dynamics to toggle with on a daily basis. Oh and don't mention when one person is mad at another and you have to avoid taking sides because you're "cool" with both and don't want to jeopardize your relationship with either one. I wish I could ask Sara. She may has answered this question somewhere. I probably just have to find it. She did mention an instant connection if you're the type to understand her humor. She mentioned it in one of the "Little Black Dress Tour" videos.

Oh and she's also friends with people in the White House. I wonder how that goes. That has got to be some serious eggshell walkin' there. It would wear me out. Most social situations wear me out. I wonder how she handles it.... being friends with someone with the status of US president or First Lady. How does one "shoot the shit" with people like that without being offensive.

So I've found myself searching a bit on this particular tour with a good way to spend the day. I will start by saying I realize how incredibly lame and pretentious that even sounds in the first place. I'm literally living out my dreams of childhood, roaming the world with my best friends, playing music for people, with very little obligation other than to enjoy the ride.

How hard can that be?

Well, even though I am riddled with blissful moments on tour, I am also only human. I get bored. But... I have a scary theory: I think I'm getting bored-er.

Let me explain.

I'm not the first person to make a correlation between disappearing attention spans and the advent of our internet-driven culture and community. I will speak only for myself, but I'm obsessed with Twitter, and most recently this blog. I check emails incessantly, and text messages too. Phone calls now almost feel archaic, as if listening to someone's voice is just simply TOO MUCH WORK. My mind is consumed with how to translate and expose every thought via the web. The real-time revelation just isn't good enough anymore. If, during the day, I have some sort of experience or thought that I deem important, it's a race to get it tweeted or emailed or blogged about. Somehow I've convinced myself that it's not impactful unless somebody else sees it.

It's all about how intoxicated we are by our little devices that keep us "connected". Many of us start to panic without the hand holding of our ipods, ipads, iphones, blackberry, etc. We freak out if we don't have an electronic umbilical cord keeping us fed.

It's scary, and I'm finally starting to wake up.

The more "connected" I get, the more disconnected I really feel to the world around me.

I don't have the answers, and I'm not passing judgement, I'm just hypothesizing on whether or not I'm forming habits that will enrich my life in the long run....

You know, like crack. Something worthwhile.

Looking at her early performances, I mean she is definitely by nature a "Blues" sort of chick and her early stage music sounds very similar to the styles they play down in New Orleans. She actually seems more comfortable with that style, maybe more at home with that intimate setting of Blues club.

Ok Sara Bareilles did burn out after her first album "Little Voice"

Ok I did some research, and she did burn out before. It was after touring for her first major label record, "Little Voice" She didn't even want to write anymore, wow. But she eventually started working on the second record, Kaleidoscope Heart. She is a big coffee drinker btw. Not sure if she uses expresso in her coffee. I wonder if the coffee helps the creative process. Must be something to it. Ok, so when she starts writing songs for the second record, she began to feel the pressure of having to follow up the success of the first record. Deadlines began approaching and she had to ask her manager for more time because she only liked 4 songs on the record, but the manager said she can record just the 4 songs. She did that and finished the rest of the album a month later. Interesting, she says here "I wrote the rest of the record in about a month, largely based around the song "Uncharted" that still feels like the centerpiece to me. My fear of what was to come was keeping me from doing anything. And finally, I cared about what I was saying.
As homage to the song that freed me, I took the title of the record from its lyrics."

I want to start an investigation on the brain of Sara Bareilles. She is very busy with her brain as a song writer. I can only imagine. So, i'm curious as to the activity fluctuations of it. Now from her videos, I gather that she is for the most part humble and simple minded during the course of a regular day(moderate brain activity), but being writer of her caliber there must be some sort of switch during her process of writing...... to where the brain activity in her neocortex reaches levels that us mere mortals can only dream about achieving.

Its a Cancer awareness special for dying kids, just spreading awareness about the disease and advocating hope that someday a cure is found. Sara Bareilles's authoritativeness, somewhat intimidating??

Is it intimidating for a woman to work hard, overcome obstacles and become a major success story. People are successful all the time, but how many women have reached her level of success after so much rejection?? Even as a kid, she was dealing with rejection; she didn't make the Mickey Mouse club. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan, but I feel somewhat intimidated by this. What the hell keeps her going. The back of my mind is acting as a reminder that this chick is a boss. Sure alot of us see the sweet happy Sara Bareilles, ya know the whole "oooooooooo, i bet she would make a good wife, im so inluuuuuuuuuuve wit her" How much of that is really her. One has got to get to a point in their career where they're no longer taking orders from anyone. Who in their right mind has the balls to tell her what to do?

Her success is not breakthrough overnight type of success. We're talking rough and tumble uncertainty, brick walls, No, No thanks, Oh please God. Imagine being faced with all of that. How do you get a Eureka Moment from all of that? But I think she did get a eureka moment if i'm not mistaken.

I am having trouble juxtaposing her. She is mixing and matching all over the place. She's the shit, yet she's humble just at the perfect angle. She is somewhat seriously garrulous , but humorously direct. She's artistic and down to earth.

I have been interested in health and fitness for a long time.............

I have been interested in health and fitness for a long time, especially in the past. Perhaps, obsessively so. Even as a man, I had my body image issues. To the point where it affected all other areas of my life, social, school, work, even identity. Alot of men have this problem, but stay hush about it because its unmanly to talk about those kind of insecurities. Not sure if the community shares these issues. I imagine most of you are more into the intellectual or the brainy side of life and everything that comes with it. But if you are, I would like to hear some of your experiences. I read a few articles about Sara Bareilles, not exactly quoting her, but reading about her experience with some body image issues. My curiosity on this matter as far as it pertains to Sara Bareilles..............(I can only speculate at the moment).................is how did this play out for her. Was it extreme dieting or extreme exercising. Did it ever become dangerous? I went through some periods of anorexia and bigorexia. Its hard to live when one is so obsessed with their body, perhaps over time, one lightens up a bit, but that conscienceness about it never dies. And unfortunately some of us never get our bodies to the point of being satisfied with it. What also comes along with this is a heightened fear of being harmed. Its like you don't trust your body's ability to survive. Its good to remember that the body is a tough cookie. It can take more than we think sometimes.

P.S. I'm not normally a pervert, but when it comes to Sara, I'd fuck her anytime, anywhere. I don't care what she size she is, though i do prefer when she's a bit heavier. Something about that round face of hers.

I wanna talk about the cliché. I'm sure many of you have heard of the term cliché. Its when you say or do something that's typical of the situation you're in. For instance, if you're sitting at the table with a group of people eating red beans, rice , and cornbread, and someone yells out to another "You gon' eat yo CORNBREEEEAD" then that would be considered cliché, because of the former popularity that line had. Its was not cliché in 1997ish...or so because the line originated from a movie called "Life" starring comedian Eddie Murphy. There was a scene in which a group of prisoners were sitting around eating cornbread and another inmate yells out to Martin Lawrence, another famous actor in the movie, "ARE YOU GONNA EAT YOUR CORNBREAD"

As time passes, the consensus is that you sort of let this die out on its own, but some sayings sort of linger on. So now 2014, almost 17 years after the movie came out, repeating that line is not going to get you as strong a laugh as say maybe 15 years ago. People are still saying this stuff. But after watching one of Sara Bareilles's interviews, I can announce that we now have a champion to put an end to this epidemic of cliché behaviors, attitudes, and word phrases. It surprises me that its a woman that has stood up to this problem. However, with Sara Bareilles's attitude, and being armed with sharp verbal stuff and things and stuff, we can join the fight and take steps to removing this vermin of cliché bullshit from planet Earth.

Ok she apparently gets a phone call from the President Barack Obama. This was confirmed in an interview that she is actually a regular visitor at the White House and good friends with the entire first family.....Barack, Michelle and the kids. But for the community to leave me alone in my obsession with her is making me look really bad. I do plan to release more mods in 2k15 if possible, but in the meantime, I wanna figure this woman out, and I need your help.

As I watch her videos, I notice her charismatic behaviors are sporadic. One minute she comes off as dorky kind of, and other times, she radiating insane charisma. I've never seen it displayed off and on like that. Which is why I made a post earlier titled "observe her behavior" I wanted to gather some feedback on your interpretation of her movements. It could have alot to do with her hair. When her hair is longer, I think she may be unconscously putting out a new set of cool vibes.

She is a natural with the crowd, no nervousness or anything. If you look up "sara bareilles high school" you will find a video of her singing to a crowd in an auditorium. She was wonderful in her performance.

So with the good things I mentioned about Sara Bareilles, what are some things you may not like about her??

Is she serious with the comments she says at the end of this video?

So here she is in the studio making a song with a band called Straight No Chaser. I don't have much info on them. I think they are more like a choir group, But anyway, as I was watching the video, they all seemed to get along just fine as they were in the studio laughing and working, but then for some reason at the end, she spoke of them as being abusive. She's is either the greatest actress of all time, or really pissed off about their behavior towards her during the session. In the music industry, you're working with a lot of men, and Sara, being a female in the music industry may find herself having to be a bit more direct with others. Because if you don't, from what I can gather and from what I've read and heard from those currently in the business, you'll get run over in a second. After watching most of her videos, its safe to say that she surely is not one to beat around the bush. I'm glad she spoke her mind here, but I'm unhappy about not knowing how to interpret this whole thing. What do you think? Is she serious at the end of the video with her comments or just joking,being sarcastic?

Sara Bareilles chips her tooth at a concert in Sydney Austrailia.

I just read about this. She was performing at a show in Sydney Australia and hit herself in the mouth with the microphone. I don't know how bad the tooth is chipped, but hopefully she is OK, and the tooth recovers. The crowd was apparenly rowdy, so the energy of the moment must have overwhelmed her. Here is a pic of her in and around Austrailia. She hasn't been posting on Facebook ever since she started the tour. She's a busy woman, but its nice when us fans can get regular updates on our favorite singer. Any thoughts from the 2k community??

I changed the photomod - SO TRY THE PHOTOMOD. I also changed the skin texture and sweat, particularly the sweat on the arms. I also added shadow on the white players faces. This is probably as good as it will get on 2k14 for me. Just wanna thank moddingway for linking my Sara Bareilles mods, and the 4 or 5 of you who are clicking the "funny" "interesting" "cool" tabs under my previews everyday. It shows that you are at least acknowledging my work. I also want to thank the ones who contacted me in private to thank me. I appreciate it. As long as there is one person who appreciates my effort, I'm happy. Most of all, I have to thank Sara Bareilles for giving me the strength to change my attitude and realizing that its not always my birthday. Enjoy, this is not the final version. I figure its something to enjoy until 2k14 comes out. I want to thank Sara Bareilles for inspiring me to reach new levels in patching. I added new arms, new legs, longer sleeves. Shadowing on the shoes. And a realistic crowd. There are still some kinks to fix, but i would like for you to enjoy the visuals for now. As patchers we often get comfortable doing the same mods that are familiar to us. Every once in while, as sara relates in this video, its good to stretch a little bit and try something that may be difficult to do. Im even guilty of it sometimes, I keep working on player models because Its familiar. In 2011, i remember i tried branching out to altering the gameplay, not knowing if it was possible. I took a chance and it was a success, for anyone who remembers my gameplay mods in 2k11. She acknowledges these tactics here in the vid. Look where it got her. She is not giving advice, but i am taking it as advice, and I hope we can put our differences aside and acknowledge this unbelievable human being that walks among us, Sara Bareilles. What does Sara Bareilles have to do with modding 2k basketball?

If any of you have ever read about Sara Bareilles, you would have found out just how much perseverance it took for her to get where she is at. She was turned down for years for all sorts of reasons, but she kept pushing. She turned inward and kept going. She inspires me to work hard at my hobby and continue to try to be the best despite what anyone may think of me.

Its fine that you all won't acknowledge me. I've accepted it. But don't just crap on my feelings for this singer. I'm not posting her for my health. There is more to this woman than just her singing.

I'm not posting this at random. There is more to this woman. She is not only special to me and but also to many others. Not just as a singer, but as a person. I'm thankful that I am on this earth at the same time as such a woman. All I ask is that you take some time out during your day and maybe learn something about her. And post it here. Thats all! If you don't like her music that fine, but don't ignore this personage of Sara Bareilles. I am humilated that I didn't know who she was until a few months ago.
